A regular meditation practice develops stillness, inner knowledge and recharges your life by helping you to stay present to life's experiences. Through neuroplasticity, mindfulness practice can change the brain, reinforcing the statement: cells that wire together, fire together. There have been hundreds, if not thousands of studies on the effect of Mindfulness Meditation on well-being. As it relates to mental health, regular meditation practice produces structural changes to the brain that impact moods, emotions, unhealthy repetitive thought patterns, and influence the way signals from peripheral parts of the body interpret pain. In other words, mindfulness meditation, practiced regularly, often with the expert guidance of a well-trained, experienced teacher, improves, the quality of mental health and overall wellness.
Cynde is now teaching for Banyan, a membership-based, global online hub focused on mindfulness and growing awareness. Banyan was founded by renowned Mindfulness Meditation teachers, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in 2021. The Banyan community helps thousands of people discover inner freedom and love, through proven practices from ancient wisdom traditions adapted to the modern world. Mindful Friends Groups
Meet weekly, led by highly trained teachers. Sessions offer an opportunity for reflection and include meditation, practice in intimate breakouts, and engaging group sharing. There are many options to choose from.
Meditations
Choose from a wide variety of 30-minute live guided and silent meditations, practiced together in virtual groups.
All times and teachers are posted on the Banyan member zone website.
Recorded Content Library
Members can access recorded meditations and talks on-demand, anytime.
Mentoring Groups
An addition to Banyan's basic community membership. Meet with the same teacher and same group of up to 12 practitioners for more tailored instruction, deeper accountability and greater integration. Mentorship groups are offered periodically based on member requests.
