A regular meditation practice develops stillness, inner knowledge and recharges your life by helping you to stay present to life's experiences. Through neuroplasticity, mindfulness practice can change the brain, reinforcing the statement: cells that wire together, fire together. Research show that regular meditation practice produces structural changes to the brain that impact moods, emotions, unhealthy repetitive thought patterns, and influence the way signals from peripheral parts of the body interpret pain. Mindfulness meditation, practiced regularly, often with the expert guidance of a well-trained, experienced teacher, improves, the quality of mental health and overall wellness.

Mindful Self-Awareness, often simply called Mindfulness, is the intentional practice of purposefully paying attention, without self- defeating judgement, to our experiences in the present moment. We cultivate this capacity through the practice of meditation.
With the proper intention and attention, we will train ourselves to realize a greater degree of steadiness of mind, heart and action in life.
Over the course of six weeks, Cynde Denson, Certified Mindfulness Teacher and Coach, will guide participants through a systematic approach to mindfulness in the Insight meditation tradition. Experienced and beginning meditators are welcome!
Each weekly 60-minute class will include a short teaching, meditation practice, and time for discussion. A simultaneous Zoom link will be set up for those who are unable to join in person.
